John Harrison
Mr. Harrison has a B.A. degree from San Diego State University and has been employed at the Florida Solar Energy Center since 1980. Mr. Harrison is currently a Senior Research Analyst at the Florida Solar Energy Center and the FSEC Solar Training Program Manager. He is also currently involved in the Southeast Solar Training Network that provides train the trainer programs to community colleges throughout the Southeast area. He has managed a wide range of solar programs at FSEC.
He has provided technical and administrative consultation to various Florida cities, agencies and utility companies in the implementation of solar thermal programs on residential housing, as well as state parks and government facilities. Of special note was the Solar Weatherization Assistance Program, in which more than 800 solar systems were installed on low-income residences. Mr. Harrison has also been responsible for directing the activities of the FSEC Solar System Certification Program.
