Photo of Dr. Zhihua QuDr. Zhihua Qu

Dr. Qu joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at UCF in 1990. In addition to his teaching duties, he served as the assistant chair of the department and is now the Chair of ECE in the EECS department. He is a Professor as well as the SAIC Endowed Professor at UCF. Dr. Qu’s research interests include system theory, advanced controls, and their applications to autonomous vehicles, smart grid, and other intelligent systems. He has received a number of awards, authored three books, and published a number of the papers in his areas of expertise. Currently, he is an Associate Editor for Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, International Journal of Robotics and Automation and is a Fellow of IEEE. Dr. Qu's textbook Cooperative Control of Dynamical Systems, Applications to Autonomous Vehicles, describes the electrical systems that this EVTC project is about.
